Remembering and Discovering

Since that last posting, letting you all know that we have moved up the Anchorage, I have been trying to figure out how to post pictures from another internet page on this blog so you can see pictures of our finished house. We worked for two years refinishing the house that we lived in in Maplewood, MN. I wanted to be able to share that journey with you. Once I figure out how to do it, I'll post some pics! Otherwise maybe you can use this link to view them. If they are not viewable, please be so kind as to leave a comment that the link is not operable!

As for settling in to our new city, it is taking some time. We are thankfully staying with Brad's sister and brother-in-law as we wait on the sale of our house and make plans for our own place. We are learning more about the area as we explore it. Yesterday, we took a hike along a coastal trail and came across two moose, a mama and baby! A little scary, the mothers can be the more aggressive ones I've heard! But they let us walk by and weren't spooked by us at all! Here's a link to a map of the trail we hiked:

Started at Potter's Creek trail head and hiked almost to the fork to the next trail. We'll try to keep an update of our activities. It's a learning process for us. And soon we'll have picture posting capability!

Brad is prepping to head back to Minnesota in less than a week. He will fly to Minneapolis, sort through our storage unit of "stuff" and drive our Toyota back with a load of necessities. His dad will be accompanying him on the drive to keep him company!

A little techy input as I am an avid blogger :)

For pictures, if you want to post just a picture on the post itself, on the posting page where you're typing, there's a button on the tool bar (where you can change the font size, justification, etc.) that allows you to insert a pic. Click that, browse your file for a pic, or insert the hyper link for that pic. However, since you're wanting to show a website with many pictures on it, you'll probably just have to create a hyperlink like you did. And you can create a hyperlink to a page through another word rather than have the whole website address posted by highlighting the word you want to be the hyperlink and click on the little icon that looks like a chain on the toolbar and paste the address in the window that pops up!

Confusing? Let me know and I help!! :)

Ps- MOOSE!
